These kids have played hard every minute they've been on the court. They haven't always played well or done what they were supposed to do, but I've never once had to ask them to play harder.

The umpires we will be using probably have more experience than the people who are learning this trade. These people are not willing to give up their family life like the people working their way through it. They are choosing to do it as an avocation rather than a profession. In terms of what we're going to see, we're not worried that we're going to embarrass ourselves.

I don't know if everybody understands the gamble that we're all taking.

I know what kind of healing (art) brought to my own life. To see their family come out here and really get into it and be creative ... It was really a neat experience.

It should be nice. It'll be under the lights and should go until around 8 p.m..

It was a nice night for running. The conditions were absolutely wonderful.

It would be all muddy and now when it stops raining give it a few minutes and it's ready to go.

The track is made for the rain. Technically, it's supposed to drain 20 minutes after the rain stops.

There's just so many people in the Midwest that everybody wants to help, wants to help, ... You know, they want to do more than give money. You think you've done so much until you get there and you see how much there is, how much devastation there has been or what-have-you. And you feel like it's just a drop in the bucket.

Everybody wore spiked shoes and you just have to adjust to the conditions.
